Position: Teaching Artists

Stages Theatre Company is seeking paid teaching artists to teach in our Acting Conservatory program this year and to join our roster of teaching artists across our extensive Educational programming. We are especially interested in dance teachers with experience teaching middle school age students for our Musical Theatre Conservatory.
The ideal candidate will hold at least an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and will have experience in teaching acting, singing and/or dancing. We seek teaching artists that have both a passion for creating professional theatre and working with youth. Teaching artists must have a demonstrated ability in classroom management, curriculum development, and in working with children across a variety of abilities and backgrounds. A passion for and an ability to inspire and empower young people through theatre is a must.
Stages Theatre Company does background checks on all employees prior to hiring.
Compensation starts at $35/hour. Hours vary according to a set class schedule. We are especially looking for teaching artists to work Saturday mornings or afterschool in the 4-6PM timeframe.
